Great prorportion
by: Anonymous

Its awesome proportion, i drew a violin, the proportions are annoying. The only thing i recommend when shading, is don't go from one side of the value scale to another. You had very light lights next to medium darks. If you ease them together it will look phenomenal.

Simple Cross-Hatch
by: Jeff

Great drawing Jason. The simple cross-hatching helps to bring the shadow away from the curtain.

For those who don't know what 'cross-hatching' is - it's a method of shading involving criss-crossing lines. In darker areas, the criss-crossing is closer/tighter... and in lighter areas, it's further apart.

The key to effective cross-hatching is to be consistent. Take your time as you gradually criss-cross your way out of a darker area, and into a lighter one.

Nice work Jason!
