Here we have a great little online drawing website. Sketch Swap is as unique as they come, giving you the opportunity to 'swap' your drawings with someone else at the simple click of a button!

Basically it works like this...

You begin by drawing a picture using a screen-sized, digital canvas. It helps to have a digital tablet, but if not - the mouse will do just fine.

Then, when you're all finished... click on the 'Submit drawing' button and PRESTO - you've just swapped your drawing for someone else's!

What's cool about this idea is that you're not just swapping drawings with someone, but you're swapping the actual process by which each of you make your drawings. Sketch Swap records what you draw, as you draw it. So when you do the actual swap, the person who receives your drawing gets to not only see your drawing - but see how you drew it! And the same goes for you! Very, very cool!

Oh, and let me add... by seeing a new person draw with every time you 'draw & swap' it's almost like having a free drawing lesson. But of course, the real fun is the surprise! Each new drawing you receive is kind of like opening a present... or maybe even a fortune cookie! :-)

Something to keep in mind before venturing into the swap zone, do know that all sketches are first approved by staff members before they can be exchanged for another drawing.

So...

• Be sure to keep all your drawings child-friendly... nothing too crazy.
• Be sure to draw something of reasonably decent quality. Dots, lines and stick people probably aren't going to make the cut. Get creative!
• Words are OK - just make sure there's a picture too!
• Put some effort into your work... remember that there's someone on the receiving end who wants to be just as surprised as you do!
