How to Draw Cars & Other Vehicles
Learning how to draw cars is an extremely popular subject when it comes to drawing. And with respect to cartoons, it's really no different. There are all sorts of reasons for why we'd want to draw them, one obvious reason being - they're cool!
Of course, by 'cool' I'm referring mainly to many of the different sporty/luxury-type cars. Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Porsches, etc. By far, drawing cars like these is something truly cool - and for sure, we'll tackle some of these types (as well as others) - in this part of the site. And also, this will be a place to find other 'moving things' like planes, trains, boats, etc.
Unlike many of the other things we can draw - things on this site included... drawing cars and other vehicles is a bit more involved. As you well know, whenever you make the transition from something that's 'boxy' to something that's more 'curved' -- it ups the scale of the difficulty involved with the drawing process.
And yes - since many people (you!?) love to draw sports cars in particular, it certainly does raise the bar. A ferrari for example, is quite curvy. And really - you've got to be able to nail each one if you want your car to look right.
Something else to point out, using some sort of guideline is especially helpful when learning how to draw cars, as really... perfection (or near perfection) is more important.
Drawing cars in perspective (like the first lesson in this section -- the image in the example) is a nice away to go about drawing cars, and can be done quite easily when you have your perspective lines/markers set up right. And the same thing goes with other vehicles like boats, helicopters, etc.
