charcoal horse head

by Vikki Burnett
(Darwin, NT, Australia)

I used charcoal pencil for this picture, it took me 2hrs and it is the first time I have used this medium.. I think it is ok but my shading needs work as I am not top at shading, I drew this for my friend as a gift because she loves horses..Jan 2010

Wow
by: Carrie

This is wonderful Vikky! I love horses to (one of my favorite animals) and this looks so real. It reminds me of the book Black beauty. Looks a lot like him. Great job.

I LOVE it!!!

Beautiful
by: Jeff

Vikki, your drawing is beautiful.

The details, shading, contrast - wow.

I'm wondering - have you ever heard of Brian Duey? I think you would like his work. His site is Duey's Drawings.

Jeff :-)
