How to Draw a Cartoon King

Here's a fun little drawing lessons - how to draw a cartoon king. Simple and symmetrical - let your creative juices flow here... and see what sort of neat looking character you can come up with.
Starting from the very top - and working our way down the drawing, let's begin...
First Step - Draw a Framework
To start things off - how about a simple framework to keep everything in line as you go ahead and draw. A simple circle with a cross is a great starting point.
Here's how I drew mine...
The green lines are there as place markers for the curvature of the king's robe - soon to come! It's simple planning like this - that makes drawing cartoons all the more easy! Don't you agree?

Second Step - Draw Your King, Step by Step
In so many steps, here's how the lessons goes. Remember, don't hesitate to 'branch off' - adding and subtracting your own details as you progress. It's all about being creative - so for sure... do so!
Here goes...
When you're finished - you've got a cool-looking drawing of a king - one to style and color however you see fit. Another look above and I can already think of some other ways you might have drawn him. For example - a softer 'cloud-like' beard. A higher crown. Skinnier altogether! Up to you.
