I think it looks very good! I drew one too, but its not online yet. I like all the colors, but I think if you added some bright colors, like yellow, or orange, it would really stand out!

The main looks neat... very cartoony. I took a look at the 'Viva Pinata' character you referred to --- I see the resemblance. A purple snout would look neat.
