About this Site and Its Creator
Hello and a very sincere welcome!
My name's Jeff and for as long as I've been able to hold a pencil - drawing's been my number one passion. From animals to people to well... you name it! - the desire to imagine and create is something that came naturally to me at a very young age.
Kicking off on December the 1st in 2007, How-to-Draw-Cartoons-Online.com (DrawCartoonsOnline.com) began with a very clear goal -- creating simple-yet-effective drawing lessons in hopes to help as many people as possible to become better at drawing... and of course - to inspire people to start drawing too! :-)
Today, the site reaches well over 100,000 people a month and is ranked in the top 1% of all sites on the Internet. To give you a better idea - take a look at the Alexa.com widget to the left. A score (the lower the better) of under 1,000,000 is pretty good. :-)
What's best about this though - is that the site continues to grow, even now. With new lessons and categories being added all the time... there's always something fresh to look forward to - helping you improve at drawing.
And yes. Helping others to develop their skills, improve, and reach their goals as artists, is a truly rewarding feeling. It makes working on this web site all the more enjoyable. Truly - there have been so many wonderful comments and feedback. I can't tell you just how much it means to me.
While drawing is my 'number one love' - I definitely have some other interests. Traveling is fantastic. So far, I've traveled to eleven different countries around the globe, and look forward to exploring many more some day.
One of my favorite trips ever, was to Egypt. Finally setting foot inside the great pyramidof Giza... what an amazing experience that was!
But while I have you here, and back over to the drawing side of things - I'd really like to say...
If learning how to draw is something you're truly passionate about (and I know it is!)... than no matter what -- DO IT!
While it does take hard work and dedication to improve at anything in life - drawing most definitely included... always remember that it's your passion for what you're doing that will ultimately be the driving force to your success.
Do what you love, and love what you do. That's the ticket.
And so, I wish you all the best with your own drawing-related goals and I really hope you find this site, the many lessons within it, and the many lessons soon to come! - helpful.
Remember too... if you ever have a question or comment - or even if you just want to say 'hello', please do. You can send me a message here.
To Your Success with Drawing!
