Simple is Good!

While I do agree with you Jason (as I've seen many of your other works) - it's simple landscape drawings like these that make for excellent backdrops when drawing comics.

Most of the time, it's the characters that need to be the focal point of the image/comic. Details in the background can be - and are often intentionally, sacrificed to bring out the important parts of the scene -- the characters involved and what they are doing/saying/etc.
